Our hands-on approach to product and industry education uses real-life situations, coupled with expert instruction to give students a true understanding of multiroom entertainment technology.

We don't simply read a list of features and expect our students to understand a subject; we try to "teach you how to fish" rather than just "give you a fish" as the saying goes.

Our goal is to give each student the tools and knowledge they require, in the format which is most convenient and effective for them. Using this approach, we are able to give the student lasting knowledge and expertise which will help them increase their business. Based on this philosophy, we're offering four training programs this year.

Live Webinars with the Russound TEC team

Over the course of the year, we're conducting webinars on various subjects and Russound products, and guess what?- they're always on Wednesdays! These live, instructor-led webinars allow you to learn about various Russound products and technologies and at the same time, use the webinar Chat feature to ask questions, make comments, and provide feedback with live TEC team members moderating.

Welcome to our Webinar Wednesday program. Throughout the year, we're offering a variety of live webinars to accommodate the increasing need for interactive education without the inconvenience of expensive travel. We understand how difficult it is to find the time to get product training and information.

These classes can be taken from the comfort of your home or office; all you need is a computer and an Internet connection. The topics vary, so check back periodically to find a topic you’re interested in.

Award winning seminar and hands-on training program held at Russound

Russound's in-house training includes hands-on and lecture-based workshops on Russound products and technologies and is held at our facility in Newmarket, NH. Classes are offered consecutively over the course of three to five days so you can which classes are right for you based on your business plan, schedule and budget. We sometimes invite our inductry partners to these events to offer classes based on their products, so check out some of our general industry course offerings. We have even offered CEDIA and CEA certification classes. If you truly want to experience Russound, this is the event to attend.

Russound's Award-Winning Product and Technology Training

Many who attended our All Wired Up University in previous years have told us it was the best product training they've ever experienced! Those comments are very important to us, because that's our goal; to provide the best possible hands-on training experience available. Our philosophy is to put our customers first and provide them with the valuable tools and skills which help them to grow their business, regardless of the economy! This concept helped us win the 2007 OTTO award from TecHome Builder and the 2008 Mark of Excellence Award for Best Training and Support Program from the CEA.

This year we've updated our curriculum, fine tuning our RNET hands-on training as well as our PLC (Power Line Carrier) technology training. We've even added a new 8 hour class called "Russound A to Z". Our comprehensive University training events include hands-on and lecture-based workshops, giving you everything you need to succeed with the sales, design and installation of Russound multiroom products and technologies.

The Russound 2007 Road Show is definitely a 4-star—make it a 5-star—event. I have been to several technical and sales trainings and this is top on the list. The Road Show provides detailed information on components and systems, techniques for design and functionality, and most importantly, how to make it all work.

Making it all work requires more than an educated person standing in front of an audience with a PowerPoint. How about all of the above and educated people circulating as each attendee is connecting all of their components into a controller? Yes, I actually wired up a system from interconnects to punching down CAT-5 on a keypad. Now, this is training!

After I used the punch-down tool to connect my RNET keypads, I wired up my speakers and voila! I had a working system. This is all fine, but then I wanted to do the things that dealers do, like customize source names, customize zones and all the fancy bells and whistles that most manufacturers just tell you that they are capable of without actually teaching you. Each station not only had all the gear so I could do a full installation, but came with a laptop fully loaded with PC Power Tool software.

I went ahead and programmed my RNET system and what do ya know, IT WORKED! Just like they said it would. I have taken so many classes, got all fired up excited and went to do whatever it was that I had learned—and sat there, reviewing my notes, thinking “Now, how was it that THEY did that?” This time I did it, and I remember how I did it, and I know that I can make it work again when I need to. As a rep, we try to give our dealers the most value, and having hands-on experience is incredibly valuable for me to help my dealers and distributors in the field.

Not only did I learn and actually program RNET, I was able to program and install the CAA, ST2, and ComPoint. We even got first-hand experience as to what happens when you use the wrong power supply when installing ComPoint. Again, it’s one thing for someone to tell you what happens but it’s another thing when you actually smell what happens! That is first-hand experience that will never be able to be duplicated by a conversation or PowerPoint.

This is the training that will close the sale... why would anyone want to sell anything else?
