Russound's new A-C560 A-BUS Controller Kit provides advanced multiroom audio system features in an installer friendly package. Based upon the engineering and know-how that was introduced with the RNET line, the new A-BUS controller kit offers more power, enhanced source control and easier system programming. The cornerstone of the Controller Kit is the new A-C68 six-source, eight-zone multiroom controller. Designed for easy installation and programming, it features a rack-mountable 1U chassis with an internal power supply; an onboard library of IR codes and supports IR learning commonly found in Russound's advanced multiroom systems. Features such as independent source gain control, source power management, sleep timer function for all zones, “party mode” and all-zone paging all come standard. Systems are scalable to support up to six A-C68 controllers linked to make a 48-zone system with six sources. The A-SRC1 system remote, is designed exclusively for the A-C68 system to provide complete source control. The all-new A-K5L keypad provides more power output through the use of a highly efficient Class D amplifier. The keypad lets you adjust bass, treble and loudness, as well as set paging volume and local source turn-on volume for complete room sound control. It features an LCD panel to view the selected source and audio settings and supports the selection of six sources. The A-K5L gives you a choice of amber or green backlighting, and includes an IR receiver and LEDs for IR confirmation and status indication. Russound also offers the optional A-KSC Source Control Keypad and A-LC3 Local Source Input to expand functionality and system control of the A-C560 kit. The A-KSC combines with an A-K5L keypad in a standard a double-gang, workbox. This exclusive Decora style 11-button add-on keypad provides complete numeric and transport control of source components. When used with an A-K5L, the A-LC3 Local Source Input features auto-turn on of local zones at a predetermined turn on volume when a source signal is detected. It includes an IR emitter output for remote control of local sources, providing a more feature-rich user experience. New Subwoofer Models for Home Theaters and Music Systems The Complement® SUB85 and SUB105 powered subwoofers provide excellent bass response from an attractive, compact package. Their aesthetic exterior design uses less space than previous models. Both subwoofers offer line-level LFE inputs, stereo line inputs, and stereo speaker-level inputs with pass-through. For added installation flexibility, the SUB105 also offers a balanced line-level stereo input that connects via CAT-5 cable, using Russound’s RNET A/V circuitry. This allows the audio signal to travel over long distances without degradation and noise. The SUB105 features a 10-inch (25.4 cm) driver and a 125-watt amplifier. The SUB85 features an 8-inch (20.3 cm) driver and an 80-watt amplifier. Both models offer generous headroom for instantaneous low-frequency peaks common in today’s high-resolution audio content. The SUB105 can deliver 185 watts of peak energy for these transients, and the smaller SUB85 can handle peaks of up to 120 watts. Each model’s amplifier couples with an acoustically optimized cabinet and front-firing driver to provide high performance with a deep low end and smooth response. Both models include an adjustable level control, a variable crossover, and a phase switch to precisely balance the sub with the other speakers in the audio system. The SUB105 and SUB85 are ideal for use in home theaters and stereo music systems. Ratio uses low-mass driver materials and state-of-the-art engineering to deliver higher acoustic output than conventional speakers without sacrificing sound quality.
